I’m Patricia Porto, owner and lead stylist here at Citrine Salon Bethesda. Hair styling is quite literally in my blood. My grandfather and two uncles were hairstylists, and I grew up in Brazil surrounded by the rhythm and creativity of the beauty industry. That early exposure sparked a love for the craft, and I’ve never looked back.
What makes Brazilian stylists unique is our ability to work with diverse hair textures and climates. In Brazil, our hair faces intense humidity, sun exposure, saltwater, and a wide mix of natural hair types. It forced us to become inventive and solutions-oriented — traits I bring to every appointment. I was among the very first stylists in this region to become certified in the Brazilian blowout technique, and I continue to lead the way with advanced treatments that nourish, protect, and enhance your hair.
